Sonar TV at Varsity

Each year geographically close universities compete against each other across a range of sports to earn the title of Varsity champion. Oxford and Cambridge are famous for their boat race but most UK Universities arrange sporting matches too. This year Solent competed against Bournemouth University across 25 sports.

The Media Technology programme wasn’t competing but out truck was at Bournemouth University with Sonar TV to capture the match between their football team and Solent’s. Sonar TV is a sub-society of Sonar Media with the aim of making television production accessible to any student regardless of course. They engage in a wide variety of activities, including filming live music and events, to live studio shows and outside broadcast. Needless to say a number of Media Technology students get involved with the society and it provides some great subject matter for our truck.
