Students visit BVE 2019

After an early start, a contingent of students from across the Media Technology programme made their way to the London Excel centre for the Broadcast Video Expo 2019. The expo is a key gathering where media professionals can share technologies and innovations within the production sphere through trade stands and conference sessions. It was a great opportunity for the students to identify industry trends and to network with professionals. As usual it was also lovely to bump into several graduates and former staff who also attended – it’s quite motivational for current undergraduates to see where they could be in just a few years’ time.

BVE is a regular pilgrimage for the Media Technology programme and it’s a nice opportunity to get sound and vision students from all three year-groups together. The exhibition is scheduled for later in the year for 2020 but I’m sure Solent will be there to keep up with this exciting industry.
