Inside Out by Celestine Ong
How long do you think it takes for you not to be able to look at your phones? How long would it take for you to see an image of somebody on social media smiling towards the camera? Is one of the most common apps you use is social media too?

According to Celestine, she believes, “life isn’t always as perfect as we might want it to be, and there are always ups and downs in everyday life.” But who can blame those people who want to share the joyous news with their peers? However, one thing that people don’t know that well. When you post something like that, it can cause viewers anxiety, depression, and isolation.

Therefore, Celestine created ‘Inside Out’ to give you an insight into the crack and show that everybody who is showing the outer layer isn’t what it seems to be. Her purpose is to raise public awareness about women’s mental health. Despite how some people might be embarrassed to speak out, she shows an alternative otherwise, as she mentions, “Our emotions and feelings shouldn’t remain hidden and should be embraced and accepted so that they are out in the open.”

Why does she want us to share our problems? Because she believes “a problem shared is a problem halved.” Maybe it is time for us to cut a portion of our time and sit down and listen to other people’s stories. There is a famous quote of ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’. So therefore, we should start opening ourselves and other people’s stories. Now it’s your turn to look at her story through her images.
