ApprenticeshipChartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (Fast-Track)

Starting in: 2025

Course overview

This flexible apprenticeship programme provides research and learning for the ever-changing world of business, applying theoretical models to real-life case studies and your own organisation.

  • 97% of employed graduates who responded to the HESA Graduate Outcomes survey (from 2021 to 2024) were in high-skilled employment.

A fast-track business degree apprenticeship is the ideal way to take advantage of the recognised prior learning you have developed in the work place. The BA (Hons) Leadership and Management forms the taught programme and is supported by a professional development module for the End Point Assessment of the apprenticeship, designed to supplement your on-the-job experience. Most candidates will have A Levels or other relevant Level 3 qualifications, as well as English and Maths at Level 2. Other relevant prior experience has to be demonstrated but can include a HND or foundation degree.

Over two years, the course focuses on developing lifelong skills and encourages personal development. As a management apprentice on the CMDA programme you’ll have the opportunity to earn Chartered Manager status, as a result of your successful apprentice End Point Assessment, accredited by the Chartered Management Institute, and benefit from a range of master classes from guest speakers, as well as regular networking opportunities.

Apprentices enrolled to this course must be employed in a suitable role and be supported by their employer. As part of this commitment, employers will need to provide the necessary opportunities for employees to achieve Chartered Manager status by the end of the study period.

For apprentices

Here's what a higher or degree apprenticeship can offer you:

  • A combination of on-the-job and academic study which is relevant and applied.
  • A continued wage and contract of employment which includes all the same benefits as any employee.
  • A higher or degree qualification which is recognised, transferrable and the same level as if achieved through traditional study routes.
  • A debt free future with zero tuition fees. (Please note, as apprenticeships are funded by employers, apprentices are not eligible to apply for Student Loans Company loans)
