Why choose a career in sustainable construction management?
The UK government's net zero targets have created opportunities for individuals in the construction industry to build on their existing knowledge and skills to meet skills gaps. The 2021 Building Skills for Net Zero report by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) predicts the industry needs an additional 350,000 workers by 2028 to create a lasting transformation. The report outlines a widespread programme of upskilling and reskilling is needed to improve capabilities in areas such as project management, system design and digitalisation.
Solent's MSc Sustainable Construction Management course has been developed in collaboration with our industry partners - this relationship continues through the teaching to ensure the curriculum is reflective of current industry needs and is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to maximise your employability potential.
