About the virtual production studio
Featuring an expansive 10m wide and 3m tall LED screen alongside a hanging 2mx3m ceiling, our LED volume virtual production studio is cutting-edge video production technology.
Used by major productions including The Batman (2022) and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the virtual production stage uses industry-standard equipment and software, such as AOTO LED panels, Brompton processors, Unreal Engine and Resolume. This gives students experience in a wide range of virtual production uses, including live productions and scripted work.
The studio is adaptable to a number of uses. Film production courses can use it for their films, photography can have any back drop they need, theatre and performance can use sets in a flexible way, and live performance are able to show visualisations.
