Solent University’s Dr Chris Anderton, Associate Professor in Cultural Economy, is among contributors to the V&A’s virtual conference ‘Glastonbury at 50: Origins, evolution and impact’.

This one-day virtual conference will explore the history of Glastonbury, sharing insights to the festival’s development and how it has influenced the global festival scene. The event features a number of guest speakers from academia and the festival scene.

Chris will trace the evolution of Glastonbury’s brand, from its genesis in the 1970s, through its CND (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) association, to its worldwide presence on BBC television.
