Sport and health taster day

The Department of Sport and Health welcomes students keen to explore the many options Southampton Solent has to offer to those considering higher education as their next step.

Our Sports Complex offers students the opportunity to have hands-on experience using industry grade facilities. If your students are interested in coaching or fitness, we have our high-performance sports hall and strength and conditioning high-performance gym.

Our purpose-built biomechanics laboratory boasts a range of specialised equipment, including a state-of-the-art Vicon 3D motion capture system that allows athletes' movements to be recorded and analysed - perfect for students interested in exercise science and therapy. And our BASES-accredited physiology lab allows students to explore latest equipment used for physiological and biomechanical assessment.
