Unity 101 Community Hour - Thinking about university? There's still time to apply

As official partner of local radio station Unity 101, Solent’s very own Geeta Uppal, Senior Access, and Widening Participation Officer, will be presenting this week’s Community Hour.

During the show we will be discussing how you can still apply to university and the support available from institutions to get you onto your chosen course,

As well as discussing university options we will also:

• Share the process of applying to university. Choice of course, support available at college and university, importance of open days, research, advice and tips for writing personal statements
• Discuss the challenges you may be facing. Choice of university, its location and courses available, family expectations, and the cost of higher education
• Hear about Solent University’s outreach work in school, colleges, and wider community to support access to higher education
• Talk about the importance of Lifelong Learning which forms part of Solent’s Civic Charter
