Year 10 campus visits for STEM and creative industries (17 - 21 June 2024)
A campus visit opportunity for year 10 learners focussed on STEM and creative careers.
The Solent University Widening Participation team are pleased to invite Southampton and Hampshire state schools to a series of campus visits for year 10 disadvantaged learners with booking available on the following dates:

- 18Â June 2024
- 19Â June 2024
- 29Â June 2024
- 21Â June 2024
Each day runs from 9.30am to 2.15pm and will focus on careers in both creative and STEM industries. During the day at our East Park Terrace campus, students will take part in a subject talk focusing on careers and higher education pathways, learning about student finance and student life.
These events are free and schools may bring 30 learners and will be eligible for payment to support the cost of transport and cover.
- For schools based within an 8-mile radius of SO14 0YN, we will provide £450 for a group of 30 learners.
- For schools based beyond an 8-mile radius of SO14 0YN, we will provide £500 for a group of 30 learners.
Lunch is not provided so all attendees should bring a packed lunch.
Booking for this activity is now open to Southampton- and Hampshire-based state schools. We will operate on a first-come, first-served basis and may close the booking form early should all spaces be taken. If you are a school outside of Southampton or Hampshire, please email stepintosuccess@solent.ac.uk prior to booking.
