Graduate, and Managing Director of ThinkEngine, a digital marketing and technology agency, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship from Solent University, Southampton, today (Tuesday 11 July).
Ben Michaelis set up ThinkEngine just a few months after graduating from Solent University with a BA (Hons) Business Management degree in 2015. Under Ben’s leadership, ThinkEngine has grown from a one-person business to a thriving five-person company - of which three are Solent graduates - which now supports blue chip global clients.
A keen supporter of his former university, Ben frequently returns to Solent to give guest lectures, set academic ‘live client’ projects, offer graduate employment opportunities, and take part in student mentoring programmes.
Passionate about sharing real-world industry insights, Ben has worked closely with the Solent to develop and facilitate numerous work placement and employment opportunities to students and graduates. He believes it’s incredibly important that employers provide talented students with the opportunity to gain industry exposure and knowledge.
