Our team comprises of staff who have a wide range of experience working with and supporting Solent students, helping them to explore new opportunities and develop their skills in a structured environment. We are also very fortunate to have staff who specialise in working with young people in the local area in both educational and community settings, and in co-ordinating industry-recognised CPD opportunities and accreditations.

Community development
I have worked in the sport and physical activity profession for many years. Through this I have collaborated with many community organisations, schools, local sports clubs, volunteers, sports governing bodies and students. I am passionate about providing sport and physical activity opportunities for all young people, and working with Solent students.

I came to Solent in 2010 to study sports coaching with science and development. During my degree I worked with many schools and athletes in different areas. Upon graduation, I was offered a job as a school games organiser and have been in post since 2013. Being based at Solent University has allowed us to access an enormous workforce of students which has been key to our success.

I have been based at Solent University since August 2016 as one of the school games organisers. With a background in secondary school PE teaching as well as coaching within primary schools, it was the perfect role for me! I absolute love working closely with our schools in Southampton, offering a wide range of opportunities for all young people to be active within sport and ensuring competition remains at the heart of school sport.
