The Solent Ravens are the official cheer and dance society at Solent University and going into their fifteenth season.
The Ravens are comprised of six teams in a variety of styles: lyrical, hip hop, jazz, game day, stunt, and competition level 2 and non-tumble. Our game day team dance, stunt and cheer at multiple different Solent sporting events including basketball and American football. Our hip hop, jazz, and lyrical teams are all competitive dance teams. Our stunt only team and level 2, non-tumble competition team are also competitive teams. All five of our competition teams have previously competed at various national cheer and dance competitions in Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham. The Solent Ravens also attend indoor and outdoor Varsity each year with a routine for all our athletes to be a part of.Â

Membership costs
- 1 competition team: £190
- Competitive stunt team only: £150
- 1 competition team and our competitive stunt team: £195
- 2 competitive teams: £220
These prices are based on our previous season however, due to the increasing competition fees, our prices will also be increasing. There is also a one-off £10 affiliation fee that each athlete of Solent needs to pay. This price includes your entry to three competitions, travel to and from all three competitions and extra training sessions at a professional cheer gym. This year our increased prices will also include basic training kit (T-shirt and Raven socks) but does not include competition kit.
