Andy is a highly qualified journalist, with more than 30 years' industry experience working in national and regional newspapers, radio and television. After 11 years working for one of the south's leading news agencies, he joined ITV in 1999. In 2001, he turned freelance, working for Sky Sports, ITV and ITN.
Andy joined Solent in September 2009 as an associate lecturer. Now a senior lecturer, he is a key member of the team on BA (Hons) Sports Journalism. He specialises in teaching sports journalism for television, and professional practice. He is a qualified editor in Avid and Apple's Final Cut Pro. His industry links remain, and he is a regular reporter, field producer and occasional presenter on the Sky Sports angling programme Tight Lines.
Andy is a journalist, broadcaster, TV presenter and qualified video editor. He directs, produces, presents and edits his own TV show on BT Sport.
