Biography
Branimir was born in Bulgaria, and achieved a bachelor's degree in Transport Equipment and Technology from the Higher School of Transport in Sofia. This was followed by a master's degree in Transport Equipment and Technology, also from the Higher School of Transport, Sofia.
Between 2005 and 2006, Branimir completed his National Service for the Bulgarian Army. He came to the UK in January 2007, and spent his first 18 months here studying English in Bournemouth.
Branimir came to Solent University in September 2008 as a student, and obtained an MSc International Maritime Studies – Ship and Shipping Management, with Merit. Before the end of his studies, he was invited to participate in the Horizon Project as a research assistant. This allowed him to stay in touch with key lecturers, and in 2010 he was employed by Solent University as an associate lecturer - he is now a senior lecturer.
Branimir gained his Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, in September 2013, and became an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Â

Before coming to Solent, Branimir was an agent at Wilhelm Personaldienstleistungen in Mainz, Germany; and also worked for the Bulgarian State Railway.
