Biography
Christy graduated with an LLM (Environmental Law) at Southampton Institute in 2001, and has 20 years' industrial practice (with professional qualifications) in acoustics and environmental laws in the UK and Australia.
She has worked as an acoustics consultant for a number of established multi-disciplinary consultancy firms. She also worked as an environmental health practitioner in a local authority and the Environment Agency for seven years. Currently Christy is a senior acoustic consultant at Mott MacDonald, specialising in environmental acoustics.
Christy joined Solent Acoustics at Solent University as an associate lecturer in acoustics in January 2018. Her specialist subjects are environmental laws, policies, regulations, environmental legislation enforcement, environmental noise and vibration assessments and modelling.
Christy also teaches on the MSc Applied Acoustics and the Institute of Acoustics Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control, and provides guest lectures on the undergraduate degrees in environmental acoustic modelling.
