Darren is a lecturer in sport psychology in the Department of Social Sciences and Nursing at Solent University. His job involves teaching on a variety of units on both psychology and sport science degrees.
Darren first graduated with a BSc (Hons) Psychology from Bournemouth University in 2011, before completing an MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Brunel University in 2012. He has completed a PhD at Bournemouth University, investigating the role of stress reactivity in the development of adolescent athletes.
Darren is also an HCPC registered and BPS chartered sport and exercise psychologist, working with several individuals and organisations in the local area. These include the Perform Sports Medicine and Human Performance Centre in Southampton, and the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme. Darren has also worked with Premier League football academies, county cricket clubs, and a range of different athletes from numerous sports.
