British born photographer, Gary Wallis has worked as a freelance photographer for 25 years working mainly in fashion and portraiture. He has shot for magazines around the world including Japanese Vogue, Dutch Elle, British Marie Claire, The Independent Magazine, Evening Standard, Dazed and Confused, Swedish Slitz Magazine, and lots more.
His commercial clients have included Topman, Motorola, Lloyds, and Harper Collins. Gary’s first book ‘McQueen Backstage the early shows by Gary Wallis’, covering the designer's first shows backstage was published in March 2015. Please feel free to view Gary’s work here www.wallispictures.com
Gary has taught photography at Central Saint Martins for 25 years for the Graphic Communication Design Degree Course. He joined Solent in 2019 and is pleased to now be teaching specialist photography students on the BA (Hons) Fashion Photography course. Â
