Lynsey has taught on the BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Therapy at Southampton Solent University since July 2018. In 2021, she took on course leadership for the programme.
Lynsey has over 14 years’ experience working as a Sports Therapist and has worked with a range of sports. She has worked for the London Broncos Rugby League team with their first, academy and scholarship squads. She has also worked as the Head Sports Therapist for Luton Town Football club’s elite development squad and as the Head Sports Therapist for the England Wheelchair Rugby League team. She now holds a position as casual Sports Therapist at Reading Football Club, with the Future Lionesses Goalkeeping Centre and as an FA Medical Tutor.
Lynsey has been heavily involved with the Society of Sports Therapists, the course's accrediting body, with their university and colleges liaison group, communications group as well as serving on the board as the Vice-Chair and as the Chair.
Lynsey completed her undergraduate degree in sports therapy at the University of Hertfordshire. On graduation, Lynsey was awarded the Society of Sports Therapists’ annual travelling scholarship to Canada where she worked with the University of Windsor sports teams, Canada National Ballet, Hamilton Tiger Cats professional football team, Windsor Spitfires ice hockey team, Loaring physiotherapy clinic, Toronto Blue Jays, and Sheridan College.
Lynsey has completed a PhD entitled Influence of Chronic Ankle Instability on Human Movement: A Three Dimensional Kinematic and Electromyographic Analysis.
Before moving to Solent, she was a visiting lecturer and technical officer at the University of Hertfordshire, where she completed her PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and was awarded her fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Lynsey was a visiting lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire from 2013-2018. She is also on the Society of Sports Therapy University and College Liaison Group.
