Mark Lloyd

Featured artist and interview with ‘Painters Tubes’ arts magazine 2021 and 2022

Mark was selected for the Saatchi Gallery 'New Sensations' 2012 and was shortlisted for the 2013 Griffin Art Prize. His work has received acclaim from renowned artists such as Sir Anthony Caro OM CBE who commented that; "these are the best drawings I have seen for years". Lloyd exhibited with Sir Anthony Caro in a group show, and his work was featured in the Independent Newspaper 2013.

In 2014 Mark’s work was selected for the Amnesty International Art Exhibition and later shown at The Agora gallery in New York. “All forms of creative practice fascinate me, developments in new technologies, and cultural developments and changes interest me greatly. I draw no boundaries or hierarchies between painting, projection or performance art, sculpture whether physical or virtual, to video games and comics, to film making and photography, and everything in-between. Cultural history from the arts and philosophy excite and inspire new work both from traditional art history backgrounds, to lesser known cultural curiosities and oddities, to new technologies particularly developments in AI. The subject I find myself returning to explore in my work again and again is spirituality in the digital age, and what does that mean in the digital age and how does that manifest in our modern societies and communities in both the virtual and real spaces.”

Recently Marks work was featured in the ‘Painters Tubes’ arts magazine 2021 & 2022. Currently he has work on show at Solent university and at the Arts University Bournemouth. He runs an art studio using assistants in Southbourne Bournemouth. Marks work has been shown and collected internationally.
