Nicole is a lecturer on Solent's deck cadet academic programmes, specialising in navigational maths, and ship stability and construction.
Before joining Solent, she worked as an operational planner in both the cruise and aggregate dredging industries for two years, and as a deck officer on cruise vessels for five years.
While at sea, Nicole was involved in safety training projects, lay-up procedures, dry-docks, rebranding new vessels, creating maintenance paperwork, solo watch-keeping around Europe, LSA inspection, and maintenance.
After moving shoreside, she was primarily involved with both future and day-to-day operational planning, as well as auditing and crew training.
