Paul started his working life as an apprentice electrician with the Department of the Environment and spent eight years working on and managing electrical projects.
He took up his first teaching post in 1984 and has spent 37 years developing and honing his teaching skills. During this time he has taught a range of electrical engineering subjects on a variety of programmes and has accrued a wealth of experience, teaching within the Further and Higher Education sectors.
Paul has a Bachelor of Science degree as well as an Honours degree in Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He was a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and was registered as an Incorporated Engineer with the Electricity Council for 35 years.
