Bode obtained his PhD in 2022 from the University of Essex where his PhD research focused on malicious packet detection in software defined networks.
He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering from the River State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria. Bode obtained a Master’s Degree (with Distinction) in Communications and Computer Network Engineering from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen in 2013.
Bode has a passion for technology research and teaching and has a diverse career spanning academics and industry.
Prior to his PhD studies, Bode had over ten years’ experience as a network engineer. Bode was involved with the e-Governance project in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. He was part of the team responsible for the design, deployment and management of the network infrastructure for the e-Governance project. This role allowed him to obtain extensive Cisco enterprise networking experience, working as a data centre engineer and a third line network support engineer amongst other roles.
Bode is a Cisco Certified Network Associate and belongs to several professional bodies including the British Computer Society and the Council for Regulation of Engineering Nigeria.
