Rebecca graduated from Solent University with a degree in applied sports science, while also gaining experience in coaching and applying sport science principles to athlete development. She was awarded the Cranlea Prize for Physiology of Exercise upon graduating in 2020. Soon after, Rebecca completed an MSc Sport Science and Performance Coaching while undertaking a sport science internship with GB Speedway.
In 2022, Rebecca joined Solent University as a sport science technician. She participated in the Aurora mentoring scheme in 2023, achieved Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, and is currently completing her BASES Supervised Experience to become a BASES Accredited Sport and Exercise Scientist.
Rebecca has been actively involved in conducting physiological and performance testing for individual athletes and sports teams, from grassroots to professional levels. This has included assessing key metrics to optimise athlete performance, utilising advanced sport science technologies, and providing data-driven insights to support training.
Following her sport science internship with GB Speedway, she continued working with the team, further enhancing her hands-on experience in high-performance environments.
