Lecturer
Department of Sport and Health
Rhea graduated from the University of Winchester with a BA Honours degree and has spent the last ten years working in the sports development industry.
She has a diverse range of skills and experience in sports development, education and coaching which have shaped her ambition and interest to work in sports education and development.
Rhea has spent the last ten years working in a sports development environment, largely in an educational setting. After graduating, she began working at the University of Winchester as a sports coordinator, ensuring opportunities were made available across the University for all students interested in participating. She left this role after five years and moved to Hampshire Football Association where she worked across multiple areas, including schools, colleges, adult recreation and developing a workforce.
In 2014, Rhea established a partnership with Solent University, and the Football Leadership Programme was established. The purpose of this programme was to provide first-hand experience of the development industry to students, while creating a workforce capable of developing opportunities for participation across Hampshire. This programme went on to win a UEFA Grassroots Award in 2016 and Rhea has spent the last few years working with the FA to roll a suitable workforce programme out across all UK universities.
