Biography

Born and raised in South Florida, USA, Vic earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL, USA, and a Master of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning at the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL, USA. She then completed her doctoral studies at the University of Mississippi, MS, USA with the thesis titled: The Influence of Isometric Handgrip Training and Blood Flow Restriction on the Changes in Muscle Size, Strength, and Resting Limb Blood Flow in the Trained and Untrained Limb.

Aside from her research interests in the field, much of her work with students involved student experience, job and higher education placements, and exposure to what is new in the field.

Further information

Vic worked as a personal trainer in Florida, USA for four years. Her clientele included a variety of groups of individuals as well as working with clinical populations. During this time, she honed her skills in designing and implementing personalized fitness programs, empowering her clients to achieve their health and wellness goals. Simultaneously, Vic also assisted as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the following Universities in the United States of America: Florida Atlantic University, Nova Southeastern University, and University of South Florida. In this role, she collaborated with collegiate athletes across various sports, optimizing their physical performance and injury prevention.
