Role at Solent
With over 20 years’ experience in human resources and organisational development, Helen is responsible for the University’s people and culture strategy, ensuring our University’s vibrant, healthy and innovative community and transforming our people experience. Championing our Solent Values and Leadership Behaviours, Helen leads on key areas of our people plan such as wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusivity, organisational development and reward.
Helen is committed to enhancing the people experience through innovative HR practices, driving a culture of belonging and inclusion, a strong focus on professional development and leadership.
Helen plays a key role in liaison with external organisations and representing the University at conferences and national HR networks inside and outside of the HE sector.
Experience
Prior to joining Solent University in 2016, Helen held roles within large private-sector organisations within manufacturing, healthcare and retail, most recently within Charles Tyrwhitt. Her tenure there was marked by significant contributions to embedding the HR strategy, values-based culture and employee engagement.
