Take on the world with BCUR
The British Conference for Undergraduate Research is a two-day multi-disciplinary undergraduate conference that welcomes all types of presentation and subject. SLTI have taken students for the last three years, with great success.
The benefits of taking part are huge. Students get to push their boundaries, try something new and meet people they wouldn't ordinarily have the chance to talk to, all of which is a huge boost to their confidence.
They also get to present something they really care about, improve their communication skills and, at the same time, know that the work they have produced is worth sharing at a major national event.
That's because BCUR represents cutting-edge, industry relevant research, and their participation is a fantastic boost for their CV.
This year, SLTI are committing to academically and financially supporting 25 students (or 2019 graduates) from Solent to attend and present at the British Conference for Undergraduate Research, held at Leeds University, 6-7 April 2020. The submissions deadline is Sunday 5 January 2020.
Do you know an undergraduate student, or a 2019 graduate, with research or a project worth sharing nationally? Please encourage them to take advantage of an amazing opportunity!
