Ever thought about working for yourself and starting your own business? How about working as a creative freelancer?
Solent Futures, the employability and enterprise service here at Solent, can help you to succeed with advice and practical support. Enterprise and entrepreneurship are both deeply embedded in the University's culture and we are very proud of the fact that over the last three years we have provided over £150,000 of financial support. Right from the start of your time at Solent, you will be able to enter competitions, pitch your business idea, join our student enterprise societies and speak to dedicated enterprise advisers.
Students and graduates can apply for grant funding (up to £3,000 in 2021/2022) from the University through the Solent entrepreneurs' scheme. Graduates are entitled to apply for funding up to three years after they graduate. The enterprise team supports graduates with business advice and also signposts them to other useful business networks.
