I think it's really important that the University has an EDI plan which puts equality diversity and inclusion at the heart of what we do and for me that was a real driver for me coming to join the University. I think for us it will surface things that we're doing already but but give a real focus on EDI through our work and through our activities, so particularly through governance and through academic governance it's important that we have sight of the impact of what we're doing in relation to EDI. I hope that for both students and staff it will demonstrate our commitment to EDI and it will demonstrate how welcoming and how open a community we are.
