Welcome to the Student Hub. Welcome to the Student Hub. Welcome to the student Hub. We are your first point of contact for any queries relating to your course or any personal matters which may be affecting your studies. We are here to support you throughout your journey as a student and if we cannot solve your query directly we can put you in touch with the team who can.

You can find us in the Student Village at the back of the Spark. We have consultation rooms for more private conversations and phone booths which you can use to directly contact other teams around the University.
We can see students walking into the Student Hub and then the camera pans round to show where the Hub's location is in the Spark building. We then see a member of the team opening the door to one of the private consultation rooms and a student following her in. We then see a student using one of the phones in the phone booths.

You may have something simple like an issue with your campus card, or something more complex. We know that things don't always go as planned or as expected and our friendly and experienced advisers are here to help you. So whether it's to do with your course, for example you may need advice about getting an extension on an assignment, or maybe about your wellbeing; we can discuss your options provide advice on what to do next and, if needed, refer you to other services who can help.

We have several specialists services available from the Student Hub including our disability advice team, student funding advice services, the mental health and well-being team, a spirituality and reflection service, and our safeguarding service. We also offer specialist support and advice for students who have experienced a sexual assault or harassment, we support LGBTQ plus students, and we also are a hate crime third party reporting centre.
We are shown leaflets of the various services available to students in the Hub, then the various rooms and facilities available to students.

To complement our face-to-face services, we have various self-service functions which you can access via either the portal or Gateway, including ordering a new campus card, requesting a student status letter, booking appointments with our support services, and applying for additional University grants and bursaries. All students also have access to the Student Assistance Programme provided by Health Assured. This support is available 24/7 via the app or over the phone.

So there are various ways to access our services. The Hub is open Monday Friday - you can call us or arrange an appointment online we're available to contact any time via email at student dot hub at solent dot ac dot uk.
