For me, I like the wide variety of everything we do. We've done everything from social media marketing, we've done products, we've done buying, we've done finance, we've done law, we really cover the whole basis so I feel like I can go into industry and say I've done everything.

Everybody teaching on the course has come from industry so we have a lot of industry contacts, we've been there and done it, so we can bring that to the classroom to make all the sessions exciting, practical, developing students skill sets to go into industry and get those dream jobs - that they do walk into which is brilliant.

The lecturers on our course are so supportive I couldn't be happier on our year off, we were so supported and we didn't drop a grade because everyone was so well supported.

This is Re:So, this is our Solent retail initiative, so this is a real store in a retail centre. It's run by students selling students material, so all the students get a real first-hand experience of merchandising, looking how products sell in different areas, the depth of sales and in the second year our students actually buy product for this store, from the far east so they they go through the whole actual process that they would do in industry. So they get a briefing, they find the stock they present it to the store manager who then decides what items they'd like to buy, they place their orders, they see it into the store, they develop the marketing behind it. So it's really exciting and we have lots of live projects here so students are briefed by companies they will go away, do the research then present it to directors who then give them feedback on their research and on their skill sets, so it's real life learning.

I've just completed a 10-week placement with Armani so I was part of the wholesale intern team in the UK head office. So I spent 10 weeks there in London, we were part of the wholesale teams we had to assist them so we'd have buyers from Selfridges and I was on the menswear department, so we had buyers come in and we'd do appointments with them and we would sit through with their night's appointment and they'd merchandise and pick out what they wanted and we would just assist them really but it was such a good experience to be put on my C.V. and it's really helps me with what I want to go into, so I now know I want to be part of a luxury buyer.

We've had graduates who are in Cornwall, in Manchester, in London, in the Midlands and they do are doing things like all aspects of marketing, social media influencer, placing adverts, and all the analytics behind it. Then we have the classic buying roles, merchandising roles, then supply chain management roles, and lots of niche careers in between.

I honestly feel like I've had the best university experience personally. I've really enjoyed every aspect and I really tried for my first year to embrace everything, so I joined a sports team and I've met so many more people, and the social life here at Solent is lovely because we're not, we are a big uni but it's not huge, so everyone's quite close, like you know a lot of people.

I'd 100 percent recommend it and I think especially fashion management, it's so open that there's so many places you can go with it, so if you don't know what you want to do in fashion like, I don't know where I want to go but we talk about every sort of job that there is available, so yeah this yeah I definitely recommend it.
