For software engineering students, areas of studies include programming using python or Java, they also get involved with data structure. So, organised mathematics so it's about being able to organise data and being able to sort data out, like a tree form or graph form algorithms or certain algorithms. They will learn about databases, machine learning and dev ops.

Your horizon is broad because you can go into different, and almost every, industry because currently the world is full of technologies no matter the industry there's a bit of Technology needed. There's always a space for software engineer ranging from healthcare, from also the financial sector like banking. There's lot of software that goes into managing their systems that they use to keep people's money safe and all of that, so the organisations, or the sectors you can go into is very big.

More to do with programming more to do with development of applications, in line with AI to optimise some of the applications. So the difference is more to do with what I said earlier, the application of engineering practices in computing or what we can code, we use foundation of computing and apply that to engineering practices or engineering processes.

What I like about studying in Solent, is the transition in terms of each year current responds with what you need to learn and I also like how some of the teachers help you a lot when you need any extra assistance, with like, guided learning you can set up meetings or meet them, online meetings as well, go to the offices and ask questions and get a bit more help than you wouldn't expect, but they're here for you to help you.

I work with AI a lot and now I can see the the practical part and the theoretical part behind it, so I see what algorithm I used and how is the data that's transformed into the knowledge that for example, Chap GPT have, what have open AI done to have like, the most advanced model out there at the moment.

Studying in Solent I think the facilities are good. We have computers for every student in most of the labs and also you've got libraries, in terms of if you want books - it doesn't just rely on the computers, if you want books that teaches, or elaborate more about what what thought in the class and you can go to the library and find a range of book that will help you. There's a place where you can borrow laptops you can take a laptop home by borrowing a laptop as well so I think that's very helpful for students.
