The Joiners is a favourite among locals, with live music almost every night, and a national reputation as one of the very best small venues in the country. A stone’s throw from the New Forest, a stunning national park with more than 300 miles of heathland and forest, you’ll have plenty to do at the weekend, and the city itself is home to beautiful parks with interesting histories, including the Common and Royal Victoria Country Park.
