Solent University is now welcoming applications for our next Help To Grow programme for small business leaders.

The management programme is accredited by the Small Business Charter and forms part of a larger national programme where you will be joining over 30,000 small business leaders, with 91% of previous participants having reported that they would recommend this programme (SBC 2023).

What is this course and how does is support small business leaders?
You will identify the challenge(s) that your business is facing and throughout the programme you will be given the opportunity to identify how to change this into an opportunity or to support your staff develop understanding of the business challenges you face. This is developed through a variety of mechanisms to ensure the programme is tailored to your business requirements including:

  • 10 hours of 1:1 mentoring from a business expert to help you and your business grow.
  • A carefully designed practical curriculum that takes you through the key business areas.
  • Development of a bespoke business growth plan to help your business and team reach their full potential.
  • Range of peer networking sessions with a chance to share experiences and best practice.
  • Invitations to Solent University alumni network events, guest talks and master classes along with further support for your business plans.
  • Working with industry led tutors and meeting other small business owners across your cohort and alumni.
  • Access to the nationwide alumni network which includes guest speakers, bespoke business clinics, and networking events.

How much will it cost?
The good news is that the UK government funds 90% of the fees which leaves just £750 per participant to pay for the programme including follow up alumni events, with the possibility of scholarships/discounts for multiple bookings being available. Contact us for more information about this.
