Will Lawless, lecturer

Biography

Will has been a senior lecturer at Solent University since 2013 and is currently the Level 6 leader for the BA (Hons) Physical Education degree. In addition to this role, Will serves on several University panels, including those for ethics, academic misconduct, and sport scholarships, the latter of which he currently chairs.

During his time at Solent, Will has taught foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses, focusing on sport coaching, physiology, non-linear pedagogies, professional practice in PE, research methods. He also manages the dissertation module for several courses.

Will is currently completing his doctoral research at the University of Winchester, where he is exploring the personal construct systems of PE teachers in relation to physical activities and their place in the curriculum.

Originally from Southampton, he attended St George Catholic School and Barton Peveril College before pursuing higher education. Will earned his undergraduate degree from Solent University, followed by a MSc and a PGCE from the University of Portsmouth. Will is a fellow of the HEA.
