Applying for a postgraduate course

All applications for postgraduate study are made directly to Solent University.

Before you apply

It's best to get your application in for the course of your choice as soon as possible.

You can also apply for your postgraduate degree even if you've not finished studying your undergraduate one! You may receive a conditional offer meaning you will have to complete your degree at the required grade.

You will need to get some documents prepared for your application, these include:

  • Two academic or professional references.
  • Certified transcripts of qualifications, including English language proficiency if a non-UK student.
  • Copy of passport.
  • Copy of current visa (if applicable).
  • A personal statement.
  • Employer sponsor form, where appropriate.

There are various study options on some of our postgraduate degrees, meaning you can study part-time and at different entry points throughout the year. You can find more information on your chosen courses page.

During your application

Once we have received your application, we will send you an email with more information about what to do next. If you have any questions, please contact us on admissions@solent.ac.uk and we will do our best to help.

Please make sure you have included all the required documents to help us process your application quickly.

What happens afterwards

Once you have received your offer you will have to respond on our applicant portal. You'll receive a link to this in an email. If you are having any issues accessing the applicant portal, please contact us on admissions@solent.ac.uk.
