Below is a guide to the standard entry requirement criteria for a selection of qualifications. Solent University accepts a variety of qualifications.
Applications for undergraduate study are made via UCAS and require you to have reached a certain amount of UCAS tariff points, which you can find more information about below.
For postgraduate study, applications are made directly to the University and usually require you to have achieved an honours degree at a certain level.Â

How many UCAS Tariff points do I need?
The majority of our undergraduate courses require you to have studied at least two A Levels or equivalent qualifications.

In some cases, we will also consider candidates with alternative qualifications or related professional experience.
Please ensure you upload the following mandatory documents with your application.
- Two academic or professional references.
- Certified transcripts of qualifications, including English language proficiency if a non-UK student.
- Copy of passport.
- Copy of current visa (if applicable).
- A personal statement.
- Employer sponsor form, where appropriate.
