What your offer means

Two types of offer

There are two types of offer:

Conditional: The offer is subject to you completing and passing various exams or providing proof of your qualifications.

Unconditional: You've already achieved, and provided evidence of, the necessary qualifications to meet our entry requirements.

Accepting your offer

Congratulations! You've received an offer from us – we're very excited about the prospect of you studying with us at Solent!

All you need to do now is accept it!

UCAS applicants

If you applied through UCAS, you can let us know your decision in UCAS Track.

You will need to wait until you have had decisions back from all of your choices. UCAS Track will confirm the date when you need to make your decisions by.

There are five decisions you may see on your Track:

  • Conditional offer
  • Unconditional offer
  • Invitation received (you’re invited for an additional selection)
  • Unsuccessful
  • Withdrawn

Once you've had all your decisions back, you can choose a Firm (first) choice and an Insurance (second) choice. You need to decline all the others.

What if I change my mind?

If you change your mind about your firm or insurance choice, you can make changes within 14 days of accepting it by contacting UCAS. After that, you'll need to contact us directly. You can do this up until 21 July.

Direct applicants

If you have applied directly to Solent University, you can complete your acknowledgement form which was attached to your offer letter, and email it back to admissions@solent.ac.uk.

As a direct applicant, you should only be applying to one higher education provider, so by returning your acknowledgement form to us, you're accepting the offer that has been given to you.
