Welcome
Solent University is dedicated to the pursuit of excellent university education that enables learners from all backgrounds to become enterprising citizens and responsible leaders, while also promoting economic and social prosperity for the communities we serve.
As a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, the University is committed to delivering education to military personnel in a fair and supportive manner.
The University has been successfully and consistently delivering a programme of learning to those within the military for the last 10 years, through a blended learning mode of delivery.
Students have ranged from Corporals to Lt Colonel and particularly from AGC (SPS). Many have undertaken this path of study to enhance their personal and professional development within their armed forces career (eg LE commissioning), and also to gain recognised academic qualifications for the transition to civilian life.

If you are currently serving in the armed forces or have left within the last five years, you may be able to partially fund your course through the Enhanced Learning Credits (ELCAS) scheme.
Blended learning
Our blended learning model has been successfully run with group and individual learning activities taking place in between the campus sessions using our online learning facilities. These activities could include the use of forums, blogs, peer review and directed reading. These directed off campus activities encourage continued engagement with study.
Assessments can be tailored to benefit you. We're aware that students may well be deployed during study - the course team provide opportunities to submit assessments online. The learning experience may be further enhanced by a guest speaker programme and skills enhancement sessions.
If you have any questions, please contact Andrëa Faustino, course leader, who will be more than happy to answer any concerns or questions.
