The Regenerative Enterprise and Entrepreneurship group (REE) has been developed around the strengths of Solent Business School, including the Small Business Charter that the School holds and the Help to Grow: Management programme that assists SMEs, as well as the internal and external contributions of staff in terms of research and KE activities.
Areas of expertise
The REE group focuses on investigating and enhancing aspects enterprise and entrepreneurship theory and practice. This includes but is not limited to: female entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial intentions, intrapreneurship, business ethics, strategy and marketing development, project management, and regenerative supply change and their implication to enterprise and entrepreneurship.
The group's aim
The aim of the REE group is connecting experienced researchers, less-experienced and new researchers, and students in Solent Business School and beyond to enable them to collaborate in research and knowledge exchange activities particularly in enterprise and entrepreneurship.
In addition, the group encourages staff to expand their contributions by developing student entrepreneurship within the University, continuing to carry out and promote research and knowledge exchange activities, engaging with business communities, increasing the number of collaborations with researchers from the UK and abroad to deliver research impact, increasing the number of publications in academic journals, and drawing in more staff to become active in measurable outcomes, such as income generation.
The group also supports the members by carrying out workshops or other activities requested by members.
Postgraduate research opportunities
The group offers supervision for MPhil/PhDs within the above-mentioned area or cross-disciplinary areas. We are accepting self-funded PhD students with suitable research proposals who will be supervised by our academic staff.
